The Building is located in the downtown of Amman, Jordan, its surrounded by Al-Hashemi Street and next to it is one of Jordan’s famous Historical Landmarks, The Roman Theater. It’s a 6,000-seat, 2nd-century Theater , it dates back to the Roman period when the city was known as Philadelphia. The Building was once the Main Municipality Building of Amman, then there was an extension to the building where the Municipality Library was added. The Municipality Library is now neglected and is in pool condition, one of the main goals of the project was to revive the library, attract people to go inside it and increase the rate of people reading in the area. The site is in the center of the neighbourhood which makes it a perfect place for a cultural center, where people can exchange knowledge
